عملية تصيّد تستهدف مستخدمي Apple Pay
Millions of Apple Pay users worldwide are currently facing a new wave of phishing attacks, utilizing fake “unusual activity” emails designed to deceive victims into revealing sensitive financial data.
The fraudulent messages mimic official correspondence, featuring Apple logos, case numbers, and precise formatting. They falsely claim that a large transaction was initiated and subsequently blocked, urging recipients to contact a specific phone number. However, this number directs users directly to scammers who exploit the situation to obtain Apple IDs, verification codes, or payment details.
Security experts emphasize that Apple does not send fraud warnings via email or request contact through such messages. Users are advised to check sender addresses for typos or unusual domains. Additionally, the emails often employ an urgent tone, which is inconsistent with Apple’s communication style.
To mitigate risks, users are urged to delete suspicious messages immediately and change their passwords. It is also recommended to review purchase history through the official Apple website or settings app to identify any unauthorized transactions. Experts warn that such attacks are becoming more sophisticated, requiring users to remain vigilant and verify the authenticity of every message received to protect their privacy and funds.
