تيم كوك ينفي شائعات تقاعده ويؤكد استمراره بقيادة آبل
Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, denied rumors about his retirement during a recent appearance on “Good Morning America.” In a direct response to reports suggesting he was preparing to step down, Cook clarified that he had never made such an announcement. He emphasized his love for his role, stating that he joined the company 28 years ago and cannot imagine his life without it.
These statements arrive at a time of significant executive turnover at Apple. The company has seen the departure of several key leaders recently, including the head of artificial intelligence John Giannandrea, legal counsel Katherine Adams, and chief designer Alan Dye. These exits fueled speculation about the stability of the company’s leadership, particularly regarding rumors that the head of Apple Silicon, Johnny Srouji, might be leaving; however, Srouji’s position has been officially confirmed.
Despite the internal leadership shifts, Apple faces clear challenges in the field of artificial intelligence. The company has lagged in developing an upgraded version of its virtual assistant Siri, prompting it to collaborate with Google to support certain AI features on iPhones. This represents an unusual step for a company that typically prefers to rely on its own technologies.
Cook’s appearance is timely, as Apple prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary in April. The company faces a volatile market environment due to tariffs, rising memory prices, and accelerated AI competition. Investors are anticipating new product launches, including a foldable phone, AI-enabled smart glasses, and MacBooks with M6 processors.
Cook’s remarks appear to be a clear attempt to reassure investors about the stability of the executive team during this sensitive period, suggesting that any retirement plans remain distant and intended to avoid any negative impact on the company.
